Thank you for your interest in Lost Worlds. We appreciate your feedback and are working hard to support any questions that arise. Here is a list of common issues that people sometimes have questions about and the solution:
Q: Lost Worlds crashes on my machine, which uses Vista and an ATI/Radeon graphics card. Is there a fix for this?

A: If you have VISTA and an ATI graphics card (such as a Radeon) you will not be able to fully play the game unless you get the latest 'Catalyst' driver here: http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html
In February of 2008 they did a major driver change which now fully supports all Vista games!

As a general rule, if you ever experience graphical related bugs or have problems running a game, go to your card manufactures website (most common are Nvidia, ATI, and Intel) and download the latest drivers. They update these drivers on there website every month to stay up to date with all the games out there.

Q: How many game 'Worlds' are there? And can I buy more?

A: There are 3 Worlds with the original title: Mesoamerica, Egypt, and Rome. In the future we may offer more 'world packs' that players can download to expand the journey.
Q: The screen looks stretched on my wide screen LCD monitor?

A: The native resolution of Lost Worlds is 800x600 to support a wide range of screens. Go into the options menu and change the setting to 'windowed mode' and you will see the game in its proper size and resolution.

Q: How can I rotate pieces in the build puzzles?

A: While holding the left mouse button, click the right mouse button. This allows you to drag a piece and rotate it at the same time.

Q: What happened to my profile name after I finished my first 'World'?

A: Your profile name was transferred to the high score board for that 'World'. This way if you have other family members play, you can see how you stack up against them. Simply go back and create a new profile name when you select the next world to play. If you replay a 'World' over again to get a higher score, you will need to enter a variant of your profile name or a new name.

Q: The game won't boot up or I get an 'OpenGL' error?

A: In the rare instance you can't load the game, there are a few simple steps you can take that have helped others in the past. Make sure you meet the minimum system requirements (see top of this page). The most common problem is not having 128 MB of video ram on your video card. Although all computers and laptops with onboard video cards such as the Intel® i915 now ships with that much ram and can run the game properly. Check to make sure you have the latest version of Direct X, the latest video card drivers, all your Windows System Updates, and in very rare cases updated drivers for your chipset. This should fix any problems.

Q: I see in the readme.txt it mentions a Mac version, how can I get this?

A: The Mac version is in final testing phase and soon will be available from numerous online game vendors. In fact, if you buy lost worlds online you can play it free for 30 minutes before purchasing!
